Mario's cafe is renowned for its ever-changing walls which change every six weeks, giving local artists the chance to exhibit their work. Over the years the artwork has ranged from paintings, photographs, sculpture, pop art/kitch and architectural projects. Cutting edge and interactive, the works are sometimes controversial and generate discussions between tables. In 1999 the customers actually became the art when the artist Tony Perkal photographed them and what they were eating.

The current exhibition is A year in the life of my workbench by Walter Castellazzo.
